Back in 2015, I spent about two weeks travelling from Morioka in the North of Japan via the slow and picturesque local train network back down to Tokyo. After experiencing the seafood and beef delicacies of Sendai, I wove my way through the mountainous interior on the Flower Nagai railway line before branching west towards […]

ABOUT

Mandali is a software engineer/executive raised in London and Paris, now based in Tokyo Japan for the last 15 years. This website shares his thoughts related to automated driving and AI systems, as well as other interests such as music, lifestyle, video and other projects.

Over the years I have been fortunate to work across Germany, the UK, France, China, Singapore and of course Japan, gaining a strong understanding of what it takes to be a global leader. Some highlights from my professional life include helping Toyota stand up its autonomy software company Woven Planet and growing it to 2,000+ staff, being the former Chair of non-profit ITS Japan’s Automated Driving Support Center and named one of the top tech entrepreneurs in Asia. Outside of work, I’m a from-time-to-time musician (DJing/music production/guitar-vocal) and video gamer (still discovering my new PlayStation 5).
